Artist's Note:

I wanted this painting to feel like watching the rain work in its own time, the glass left untouched and the view left to fade on its own terms. Shapes shifted behind the water until they became something half-remembered, familiar but blurred. It made me think of the way some moments are better observed from a distance, as if their beauty depends on not being held too closely. This piece is a companion to Close Enough to Touch, created from the same setting but with a different perspective.
